Occurring during the Tokyo Design Week Festival, No Apologies Necessary: Design From Canada intended to expand the worldâs perception of Canada as a place where there are world-class designers conceive progressive design solutions, including the development of innovative materials. It is a place where function meets aesthetic quality, and celebrates the premise of living rather than exiting. It showcased works from 25 contemporary emerging and established Canadian designers. The aim of the exhibition was to expand business opportunities between Japan and Canada. Casa Brutus Magazine, Japanâs leading design magazine, awarded No Apologies Necessary 7th place out of over 150 events and exhibits occurring to see during the Tokyo Design Week.
